The UGTV site holds links to recordings from user group speakers all over the world (primarily on ColdFusion but also other Adobe topics. More on the intro page.) While it's offered as a free service by Charlie Arehart and carehart.org, anyone can add links using this easy form. If you're looking for downloadable recordings, see the note at bottom here.

CFMeetup: Improve Client Side Performance in ColdFusion Apps (View video, Show Description) In this session, we'll be looking pragmatically at Yahoo's Best Practices for Speeding Up Your Web Site (http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html), as well as Google's newly published "Let's Make the Web Faster" (http://code.google.com/speed/). Brian will go through the best practices, and share his own research on what works, what will give you the best bang for the buck, where he disagrees with Yahoo, and also chimes in on Google's recommendations. This is an updated presentation from one presented at the MAX 2008 unconference. This meeting will also serve as the Cleveland ColdFusion User Group's July meeting. Passing Data Between ColdFusion and Flex 2 (View video, Show Description) Simeon Bateman, Manager of the Portland ColdFusion Users Group and founder of Flexcf.com, will speak to us remotely about passing data between ColdFusion and Flex 2. We've seen lots of demos lately where data is rendered by Flex 2 and a few where data is pulled from ColdFusion to be rendered by Flex 2, but there have been very few demos of passing data from Flex 2 to ColdFusion. (In fact, I haven't found one yet and I've asked around a lot.) We've also seen demos of Flex Builder that make it look really fabulous and make us go "Oooo and ahhhh" but go so fast that we don't get a good idea of how the code works. Simeon promises to straighten us out! For the presentation, Simeon will be taking an existing database table and building a simple data-entry UI for it, showing us the code along the way and explaining how it works. Look for this interface to improve over time...

...including categorizing (vital as more are added), perhaps using Flex or Ajax. Additionally, I'd like to offer the option to capture more details about each presentation as well as to add a mechanism for viewers to share comments with each other on each presentation.

About "no description"

If there's "no description available", it's just that the submitter didn't offer one. It could be that there simply was none they could offer, or they didn't know where to find one. I don't want to hamper people submitting presentations by forcing them to come up with descriptions. The field is there if they have one to offer. In the future, I'll enable a mechanism for folks to offer comments on each presentation, and from those I would gladly update the description (or allow the submitter to).

Are you looking for downloadable versions of these recordings? I'm afraid that's not something I can control for most of these recordings. TO be clear, this UGTV resource is just a repository of *links* to recordings (which can be posted by anyone at all). I do not host the *recordings*. I only offer a place to point to them in an organized fashion.
