The UGTV site holds links to recordings from user group speakers all over the world (primarily on ColdFusion but also other Adobe topics. More on the intro page.) While it's offered as a free service by Charlie Arehart and carehart.org, anyone can add links using this easy form. If you're looking for downloadable recordings, see the note at bottom here.

CFMeetup: Centaur and Bolt Uncensored (View video, Show Description) Join us for this special one-time only event, on a special day: while Adobe has been doing Centaur/Bolt user group tour event over the past few weeks, at each meeting they've shared more and different things. This event will be the capstone tour event, revealing all the features shared to this point, and more. CFMeetup: cf.objective() Preview: Cleveland CFUG Simulcast (View video, Show Description) This event was a simulcast of the CF Meetup with the Cleveland CFUG, who offered a preview of 3 of many sessions from the cf.objective() conference coming up in May. The speakers were Ray Camden, Todd Sharp, and Brian Meloche, each offering a preview of their presentations (about 30 minutes), to give you some insight into what the conference has to offer. CFMeetup: Common Sense Object Oriented ColdFusion, 2010 Edition (View video, Show Description) At the 2009 CFObjective, the session with the somewhat pessimistic title of "What to Do When OO Fails You in ColdFusion" discussed the problems often seen while developing object oriented applications in ColdFusion, and some things that could be done to address them. We looked at each of these problems objectively, and questioned some of what other "thought leaders" were pitching. We advocated a pragmatic approach to OO in ColdFusion, developing solutions that are "influenced by OO" but may not have been OO in the strictest sense, such as an array of structures instead of objects, or using XML, JSON or WDDX instead of a what we have believed is a CF object. Fast forward to 2010: Even with the improvements in ColdFusion 9 and looking at the good and the bad that is OO CF, Brian's first draft of this presentation turned sharply anti-OO, enough to wonder if he should present this topic at all. He went back and tried to figure out what was at the core of his problems with OO. By discovering the OO fundamentals, he realized that he's not anti-OO at all, but he has had specific and deep issues with the way that's been pushed to do OO ColdFusion from the beginning. In this session, we start over. Brian re-constructs Object-Oriented ColdFusion from the ground up, creating a much simpler, understandable and expessive OO ColdFusion than we ever had before. CFMeetup: ColdBox 4: The Future of CFML MVC (View video, Show Description) ColdFusion (CFML) is one of the most mature web languages. It offers similar scripting and language constructs as other languages, but proponents of CFML know its true power comes with all the inbuilt functionality and integrations you get out of the box. ColdBox was the first CFML framework to provide convention-over-configuration MVC for the masses. Like other frameworks, it allows very simple conventions and lets you to easily scaffold out apps with little effort. ColdBox is unique though because it doesn't stop there; it's a productivity platform for people who are tired of reinventing the wheel. ColdBox is built on a light modular core with built-in lifecycle extension points, and pluggable libraries for things like SES, JSMin, pagination, security, and REST. Look for this interface to improve over time...

...including categorizing (vital as more are added), perhaps using Flex or Ajax. Additionally, I'd like to offer the option to capture more details about each presentation as well as to add a mechanism for viewers to share comments with each other on each presentation.

About "no description"

If there's "no description available", it's just that the submitter didn't offer one. It could be that there simply was none they could offer, or they didn't know where to find one. I don't want to hamper people submitting presentations by forcing them to come up with descriptions. The field is there if they have one to offer. In the future, I'll enable a mechanism for folks to offer comments on each presentation, and from those I would gladly update the description (or allow the submitter to).

Are you looking for downloadable versions of these recordings? I'm afraid that's not something I can control for most of these recordings. TO be clear, this UGTV resource is just a repository of *links* to recordings (which can be posted by anyone at all). I do not host the *recordings*. I only offer a place to point to them in an organized fashion.
